Tourmaline – Earth Element -電氣石
Origin: Brazil, Tanzania, Nigeria, Kenya, Madagascar, and Afghanistan.
History: Ancient legend says that tourmaline is found in all colours because it has travelled along a rainbow and gathered all the rainbow's colours. The Chinese have used tourmaline for centuries to carve and engrave figures. Some are even still on display in museums, a testament as to the durability of the stone.
Today the name tourmaline includes a group of 27 minerals, with the most popular ones being the Schorl tourmaline (black and deep blue coloured stones) and the Elbaite tourmaline.
