Obsidian – Fire Element -黑曜石

 

 

Origin: Italy, Turkey, Mexico, Japan and USA.

History: Obsidian is an igneous rock that forms above the Earth’s surface when molten rock cools very quickly. The result is a volcanic glass with a smooth, uniform texture. Obsidian can be found where lava comes into contact with water and around the edges of a volcanic dome or lava flow. 

Attributes: Obsidian is molten lava that cooled so quickly it didn't have time to crystallise. And it is considered a great protective stone as it deflects strongly negative energies. It is also a strengthener, helping to boost courage.

Mentally, this stone brings clarity and clears confusion. Psychologically this stone helps you to know who you really are, bringing you face to face with your shadow side. Helps identify behavioural pattern. 

Physically it detoxifies, dissolves blockages and tension in the body, including hardened arteries. Reduces pain.
