Kunzite  – Water Element -紫锂辉石

 

Origin: USA, Brazil, Afghanistan, Madagascar, Africa and Canada.

History: Kunzite is a relative newcomer for use in jewellery. As the story goes, specimens of an as-yet-unidentified pink crystal were found in San Diego County, California, and sent to Tiffany & Co.’s mineralogist, George Frederick Kunz. The year was 1902. Charles Baskerville, a chemistry professor at the University of North Carolina and later the City College of New York, subsequently named kunzite in honour of George Kunz in 1903.

Attributes: This Stone has a very high vibration, therefore it awakens the center, heart region, related to unconditional love, production of loving thoughts and communication. Helps radiate peace. It is used to provoque a meditative state. It also enhances creativity and humility.

Psychologically, encourages self-expression and allows free expression of feelings. Mentally, helps with clearing confusion of your mind, heartache, resistance and alleviates panic attacks.

Physically, Kunzite strengthens the circulatory system and the heart muscle. Helpful in conditions affecting the nerves, such as neuralgia. Calms epilepsy and soothes joint pain. Neutralizes the effects of anesthesia and stimulates the immune system. Kunzite contains lithium which is beneficial for psychiatric disorders and depression. It helps recover the body from emotional stress.
