Chalcedony (Red, Blue) – Water Element - 玉髓

 

Origin: Uruguay, India, Madagascar, Myanmar (Burma), Mexico, Brazil and Southwestern Africa.

History: Derived from the town Chalcedon in Asia Minor. Particularly the red and rose are very rare and therefore more expensive than the normal blue chalcedony. Agate is actually a variation of Chalcedony.

Attributes: This stone promotes brotherhood, good will, and group stability. It absorbs negative energy, dissipating it. Psychologically Chalcedony eases self-doubt and facilitates constructive inward reflection. This stone is a powerful cleanser, including open sores.
