Jade – Earth Element - 玉
Origin: China, USA, Italy, Myanmar, Russia and Middle East.
History: The Chinese, the Mayas, the Aztecs, have long prized this stone, carving sacred religious figures and talismans. There are collectors in China with jade, dating back to 2000 BC. In fact, Jade was considered the Emperor´s Stone in China. They believed that since Jade lasted so long, it was linked to immortality.
Attributes: Jade is a symbol of purity much prized in the East. It symbolises wisdom gathered in tranquility. It is believe to increase love and nurturing.
Psychologically, Jade stabilises the personality and integrates the mind with the body. Promotes self-sufficiency. Mentally it releases negative thoughts and soothes the mind. Stimulates ideas and makes tasks less complex.
Physically, Jade treats the kidneys and supra-adrenal glands, removes toxins, rebinds cellular and skeletal systems, and heals stitches. Assists fertility and childbirth. Works on the hips and spleen, and balances the fluids in the body and the water - salt/acid/alkaline ratios.
